Job Description

We are looking to hire an enthusiastic and hardworking Quality Technician with a strong eye for detail. You will be responsible for performing standardized quality control checks on our new processes and products to ensure they meet the required legal and company standards for safety and quality. You may also be required to maintain calibrated test equipment, prepare test data, and identify areas for quality control improvement.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:

  • Material coordinator for NPD/NPI/Production support

  • Functional backup (deputy) for the site Quality Manager

  • Support role in Continuous Improvement programs (5S, Kaizen, Lean, etc.)

  • Receiving inspection and Nonconforming Material processing

  • Customer support and technical product evaluation

  • Customer returns handling (failure analysis, reporting, corrective action documentation)

  • Customer-specific quality documentation (e.g. COC/COA, Oracle reports)

  • Supply Chain quality & continuous improvement (Supplier Corrective Action Requests)

  • Technical troubleshooting for quality issues (product testing, measurement, etc.)

  • Product reliability testing

  • Assist with NPD testing as needed

  • Perform all duties in full compliance of all laws, safety and environmental regulations, and in a manner consistent with company policies and procedures

  • Ensure that standards and safety regulations are observed

  • Address and discuss issues and proposed solutions with superiors

  • Document quality assurance activities and create audit reports

  • Make recommendations for improvement

  • Create training materials and operating manuals

  • Harmonized common process recipes, quality control plans (QCP), ongoing reliability testing (ORT) and safe launch activities for all new products introduction towards flawless execution

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent with 3 years of previous quality experience in a manufacturing setting (Associates Degree or better is preferred)

  • Good math and communication skills 

  • Proficient with standard office software (email, MS Excel, Google Docs/Sheets)

  • Flexibility to manage changing activities/projects

  • Good analytical and problem solving skills

  • Good verbal and written skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and advanced organizational skills

  • Ability to stand for long periods

  • Ability to use a variety of precision measuring tools, including micrometers and calipers

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds without assistance periodically through the shift
